A space for those who refuse to stay spiritually asleep
A space for those who refuse to stay spiritually asleep
These are short invitations to pause, notice, and awaken.
Each reflection offers a gentle question—designed not to teach, but to stir.
Let them meet you where you are. And let the Spirit take you deeper.
You’re not walking away from God.
You’re still doing what’s right.
But something inside feels... dull. Quiet. Disconnected.
That’s not rebellion—it’s slumber.
What part of your soul has gone quiet, and why?
We serve, lead, give, teach.
But sometimes, our activity is a mask.
A way to avoid silence, reflection, or vulnerability.
Faithfulness is good.
But is it possible to hide behind it?
What are you doing for God that may be replacing intimacy with Him?
Spiritual awakening starts not with doing, but noticing.
And naming.
Naming what’s been buried.
Naming what you’ve been afraid to say out loud.
God already knows. But He waits for you to see.
What truth have you been avoiding? And what would change if you finally named it?
One sign of a soul asleep is this: “You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
On the day of resurrection, this was true of Jesus’ disciples.
Mary stood before the risen Christ but did not recognize Him, mistaking Him for the gardener.
The two walking to Emmaus failed to recognize Jesus and sarcastically asked, “Are you the only one who doesn’t know what happened?” In truth, they were the ones who understood the least.
Everyone had heard Jesus say He would suffer, die, and rise again—He said it at least three times. But had they truly listened?
That morning, the male disciples were still hiding in fear, while a few women dared to visit the tomb— yet even they were still “looking for the living among the dead.”
A soul asleep is not necessarily rebellious. It’s often simply… confused.
And the resurrection of Christ is heaven’s loudest wake-up call.
May this Easter not just be a remembrance—but an awakening.
